Store robbed at gunpoint

MIDDLEBURG — State police are searching for a man who brandished a hand gun at while stealing cash from the register at Harvey’s Food Mart near Middleburg around midnight Friday.

State police at Selinsgrove said the man entered the store along Route 522 in Franklin Township at 11:49 p.m., showed the gun and swiped money from the cash register. He was wearing blue jeans, a tan Carhartt-type jacket with the letters CDQC on the back, and possibly a ski mask with a blue bandanna, troopers report.

Police believe he and another person, who was waiting outside the store, ran west of Harvey’s Food Mart toward Maple Avenue, where they left the scene in a vehicle.

Among the victims were a 37-year-old employee and a 22-year-old worker.

Anyone with information is asked to call state police at Selinsgrove at 374-8145 and reference incident No. F07-1169294.
