Food to be given away for Easter

DANVILLE — DANVILLE – Sign-ups are being accepted for Easter food baskets.

To reserve a basket, call the Montour County Human Services Department from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday at 271-3028 through March 20. Photo identification will be required when baskets are picked up from noon to 4 p.m. March 27 in Shiloh United Church of Christ, 500 Bloom St.

The Danville-Riverside Area Food Bank is coordinating the event in cooperation with Anytime Fitness, Bimbo Bakers, CCN, Cole’s Hardware, Cotner Egg Farm, Curves, D.E. Whitenight Produce, Danville area churches, Danville Area Community Center, Danville Area High School Key Club, Danville Area School District, Danville Fire Police, The Danville News and Montour County Transit.

Also participating are Giant Foods, Lutz Preschool and Daycare, Maria Joseph Manor and The Meadows, Montour County human Services Department, North Central Secure Treatment Unit, Phoenix Rehabilitation and Health Services, St. Cyril Preschool and Kindergarten, St. Joseph School and Weis Markets.
