WATSONTOWN - The Watsontown Police are reminding motorists that the JESVIC 5 K Race will be held on Saturday.

The race starts at 9 a.m., but streets and alleys will begin being barricaded at 7:30 a.m.

The race starts and ends at the Watsontown Elementary School.

North and southbound traffic will be effected on Main Street until all of the participants have completed the 5 K race.

Road closed signs, barricades and orange traffic cones will be placed in locations along the route so that motorists don’t drive on the race route.

Streets affected include: Main, Matthew, East 9th, East 8th, Liberty, East 4th, East 1st, Cemetery Drive and John Road.

Officers and volunteers will be at some of the intersections directing traffic away from the participants.

Police ask motorists not to drive around the barricades or remove any of the barricades.
