Disclose chemicals

I commend Senator Casey for his proposed legislation the "Fracturing Responsibility and Awareness of Chemicals Act".

I find it is absolutely unbelievable that this process is unregulated. Our farmers and agricultural industry are closely regulated by the "PA Pesticide Control Act" and the "PA Nutrient Management Act". The farmers must meet stringent standards when applying fertilizer, manure and pesticides, however the natural gas industry has no obligation to disclose the chemicals it is pumping deep into our ground in the fracturing process to retrieve the gas.

Pennsylvanians have the right to know what these chemicals are and we must have public oversight before we have serious environmental damage to our aquifers.
