Published March 24, 2008 12:00 am - In response to "Few Criminals," dated March 13, you talk about misrepresenting the facts and distorting the issues. Just like most of our elected officials, including the Democratic and Republican front-runners, the writer is missing the boat.

In response to "Few Criminals," dated March 13, you talk about misrepresenting the facts and distorting the issues. Just like most of our elected officials, including the Democratic and Republican front-runners, the writer is missing the boat.

No reasonable citizen of the U.S. is against immigration. We are all immigrants. Illegal -- that's the issue. Breaking the law -- that's the issue. Why do they all forget to mention that one important word? Illegal.

I say close the borders now and come up with a compassionate plan to deal with the millions of illegal immigrants. We need to demand of Clinton, Obama, and McCain to state clearly their position on securing the borders and dealing with the illegal immigration issue.
