Cluttering Constitution

— I am writing to applaud the editorial in the Thursday edition of this paper, in which the editorial staff exposes Sen. John Gordner's sponsorship of the so-called Marriage Protection Act --blatant act of bigotry, that it is.
While so many expend so much effort to teach tolerance and respect for diversity in our community and beyond, Sen. Gordner apparently has not yet gotten the message that making political hay by promoting a hate-filled agenda is not the popular vote-getter that he may have believed it to be.
Please join me in following the editor's advice; make your opposition to this ill-conceived and foolish amendment known by calling or e-mailing the senator's office today.
