Published June 17, 2008 05:47 am - Even though the weather was hot and humid this past weekend, it did not stop the enthusiasm of the many walkers and others from being at the 24-hour event of the 10th Annual Milton Relay for Life on Friday and Saturday at the Milton High School.

Even though the weather was hot and humid this past weekend, it did not stop the enthusiasm of the many walkers and others from being at the 24-hour event of the 10th Annual Milton Relay for Life on Friday and Saturday at the Milton High School.
Many, many thanks to the following individuals, bands, and sound systems who donated their time and talent by providing entertainment for the event:

Special thanks to John Smith, Riverfront Productions, Manheim; Dave Uber and Randy Carter of Kopy Kat Sound Productions, Ridgway, who provided the sound equipment and set up for the bands for the full 24 hours; American Legion Post 71 of Milton for their participation in the opening ceremony; Mayor Ed Nelson for his opening remarks and for signing the proclamation for the relay; and the Rev. Michael Druck, St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Milton for the opening prayer.
