We often hear of the negative things that happen in communities, but I would like to highlight the wonderful things many people are doing to make Watsontown a better place to live. Committee members worked diligently to make the Fourth of July celebration held at Community Park a big success. The event supports other nonprofit organizations, and all the food stands and games at the event were run by non-profit organizations as a fund-raiser to support their causes. These include Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, high school groups, the Masonic Lodge and volunteers raising funds to benefit families in need.
