Wonderful things

— We often hear of the negative things that happen in communities, but I would like to highlight the wonderful things many people are doing to make Watsontown a better place to live. Committee members worked diligently to make the Fourth of July celebration held at Community Park a big success. The event supports other nonprofit organizations, and all the food stands and games at the event were run by non-profit organizations as a fund-raiser to support their causes. These include Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, high school groups, the Masonic Lodge and volunteers raising funds to benefit families in need. If you attended the event and had a nice time, you can thank the following for their efforts: Rene and Orlando Toro, Wendy and Gene Shoemaker, Tim Connolly, Diana and Kevin Johnson, Ann Lawton, Barb Diehl and Jim Bottorf.
