In a recent edition, a Turbotville writer said that Chris Carney never hired undocumented workers.

As a former college professor, that is likely true. However, in Congress he cast his vote for illegals. He voted last year for legislation in which unions would not be required to ascertain if prospective members are either American Citizens or documented workers.

In another union-related matter, in the mid 1930s, a Democratic Congress passed the legislation authorizing the formation of unions, with workers given the secret ballot to make the decision of organizing a business. This was signed into law by President Franklin D. Roosevelt.

The Pelosi-led House has passed legislation doing away with the secret voting process and permitting unionization via workers just signing cards-opening them up to peer pressure and possible intimidation.

Congressman Carney voted to do away with the secret ballot, which many consider a cherished American value.
