For at least the last three years, both Congressmen Barletta and Marino have been telling their constituents that Obamacare is a bad law that should be repealed, and both have voted many times to do that. However, it hasn’t happened and probably won’t as long as President Obama is in office.
It is very likely that both of them will be seeking re-election this year and will win again by a wide margin. I’m sure that many voters would like to know exactly what both of the Congressmen will propose to improve Obamacare that will gain enough votes in the House and the Senate and that President Obama will sign.
Both Congressmen have also promised to create jobs, but neither has voted for any legislation that actually does that. Exactly what will they be doing this year and in a new term to fulfill that promise?
Where do they stand on increasing the minimum wage and on extending unemployment benefits to the long-term unemployed? Would they vote to repeal the Patriot Act? A political platform with each of the planks completed in laymen’s terms would be a plus for the voters. Will either candidate prepare and submit one for the voters to examine?
