Well done, SRI

— My wife and I and three grandchildren ventured to Cameron Park on New Year’s Eve for the Downtown Celebration sponsored by Sunbury Revitalization Inc. and were once again thrilled by the evening’s events.

We have been there for both years of this celebration and it is a very close call to see who’s enjoyment meter runs highest — ours or the young children. From 6 to 8 p.m. we watched a puppet show, took a ride in a horse drawn wagon around the park, and for the first time, ventured into the SRI visitor center and looked at pictures and items detailing the history of our city. Everyone should make a visit to this center, it is well worth it.

After warming up in there we went back into the park and the kids had cookies and hot chocolate and we were all, young and old, royally entertained by a great magician.

If you and your family have an opportunity next year to enjoy this great event; our grandkids have booked us for next year and we can guarantee you’ll have a great time.

Thank you, SRI for putting on this great event and we look forward to many more years of it.

This event makes one proud to be a resident of this city and be thankful for a great organization like Sunbury Revitalization Inc.
