A while back I read about the Danville School administrative staff getting raises that were felt well-deserved and no one batted an eye, nor were all the details posted in the newspaper like now. But now that it’s the teachers’ turns I’m sensing a double standard here.
Why don’t we have both contracts posted, raises, retirements, health care benefits and give the teachers what the administrators got. I’m sure they worked just as hard; at least that’s what I’ve been reading in the paper these past few years.
Sure sounds like they’ve earned it as much as the ruling class has. Or, is transparency just meant for teachers. Divide the pie fairly, not 1 percent and 99 percent.
Should be the same in all school districts. Don’t be like our politicians.
