Working the system

— While Tom Hayden, Abbie Hoffman and Jerry Rubin were creating riots, Saul Alinsky’s organizers were insinuating themselves into President Johnson’s War on Poverty program. They were directing federal funds into their own organizations and causes. ACORN spread to more than 100 cities and focused on fighting for a so-called “living wage,” a minimum wage set at a higher level than the national standard.

Cesar Chavez, leader of the United Farmworkers Union, trained and worked under Alinsky for 10 years. Hillary Clinton visited him before his death and wrote a 92-page thesis comparing him to Martin Luther King, Jr. She was offered a job at Alinsky’s new training institute in Chicago but enrolled at Yale instead. The Washington Post reported that while in the White House, she lent her name to projects on the Industrial Areas Foundation, Alinsky’s group, and raised money attending two events of Washington Interfaith Network, an IAF affiliate.

President Barack Obama taught ACORN workshops on Alinsky’s manual — “Understanding Power,” “Power Analysis,” and “The Path to Power.” Obama became director of the Developing Communities Project. One reporter stated, “The proposed solution to every problem was a distribution of government (taxpayer) funds.”

Alinsky admired Stalin and Castro. Alinsky radicals’ goal is to attack the so-called “haves” until they are finally defeated and undermine the system that allows them to earn and possess more than others. They want “social justice” but it is really “social injustice.” Opponents are enemies. They will set out to destroy them by demonizing, discrediting and vilifying them. Is this why the IRS targeted Tea Party people, Christians and conservatives and even a clown dressed like Obama?

There are no rules of fairness. Alinsky justified lying, stealing votes and criminal means to advance their cause which is salvation of mankind no matter how many suffer. Obama believes in collective salvation.

Alinsky said, “It is necessary to begin where the world is. If we are going to change it to what we think it should be, that means working in the system.”
