Train wreck

Trying to not read and react to news from the Northumberland County Commissioners is like attempting to avert looking at a train wreck, you know you shouldn't but you can't help yourself.

In a scene reminiscent of the Godfather films Vinny Clausi announces that if he wanted to bury something he'd put it in concrete because that's his business. Really? I thought when in the commissioners' meetings and doing the county's bidding that was your business. Not acting like some fearsome boss. What are you the Godfather? Don Vincenzo?

When you see young people acting like "gangstas" --which is annoying because they can't spell and want to glorify a culture of stupidity and lawlessness -- it seems inane. When you see middle-aged guys like Clausi doing so, it is inane and even sadder since people of our age shouldn't be attempting intimidation to show they're the boss.

Clausi was voted in by the people, not installed by lackeys. So, Don Vincenzo, should govern for us, not for you.

Harry Prentiss,

Sunbury
