---- — The families of the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre have stated that the first anniversary of their darkest day -- Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013 -- "is not a day to be politicized or polarizing. It is a day for remembrance and reflection, a day of love."
Accordingly, I ask you to join me in Sunbury's Cameron Park on Market Street at 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 14, for a candlelit remembrance of the brave and beautiful lives that were lost. In the words of two Sandy Hook parents, Mark Barden and Nicole Hockley, "Together, we can show the world that our love for our children, all of our children, outweighs our differences, and that this love can unite us — not divide us."
All are welcome.
