— I am writing about an incident that happended to our family. My brother stopped taking his medication and was in a sad state. We didn't know where he was for 4 days. I spoke to different police who let us know they picked him up and took him to a hospital, but they couldn't tell us which hospital he was in because of the HIPPA Law.
If it hadn't been for a very nice policeman from the Selinsgrove State Police, we wouldn't have known.
Whoever thought of that law they should take it off of the books and throw it in the garbage.
Also, you can't report someone missing if they are over 18 years of age. You just wonder and worry where they are. They should have to notify someone in the family where they take them to.
Thank God we have some wonderful policemen. I pray for you all everyday.
