Euro-gas prices

This is to the reader that disputes gas prices doubling under Obama.

I've checked with a local gas company, and in January 2009, it was indeed one-half the price of today. They told me in January 2009 it was $1.68 a gallon. Anybody is free to check this price.

The truth is, this president has done everything to increase the price of gas. He has cut back on drilling permits on federal land and offshore drilling. All increased production in the last four years has come on private land, but that hasn't stopped him from taking credit for it. His own energy secretary was caught saying they would like European prices for gas. That would be in the $7 to $8 a gallon range. So if that's what you want, vote for Obama.

Charles D. Hilbish,
