Gun control

Dear citizens, here are some facts from 2011 for you to consider in regards to the frenzy about gun control, specifically about semi and automatic weapons that the liberal wing of the government is focusing on.

Fact No.1: Deaths in the United States by automatic weapons in 2011 -- 323, deaths by a hammer -- 496, deaths by a knife -- 650, deaths by drunk drivers -- 12,000 and finally, 195,000 by medical malpractice.

You are 600 times more likely to die by using your Obamacare then being shot by an automatic weapon.

I don't hear anybody trying to get hammers out of killers' hands or knives, or tightening drunk driving laws, and what about medical malpractice?

Of course we are all upset about the death of innocent people in the way some automatic rifles are used but most of those 323 deaths came from inner city violence. You can't honestly think that taking guns from private, law-abiding people is going to stop the killing. If they can't get it legally, they'll get them any way they can, if they want it badly enough.

Enforcing the gun laws that already exist is a start and making universal background checks mandatory is a good fix. Second Amendment: Our right to bear arms shall not be infringed!
