Recycling water the right way

— I read an article on how oil drilling companies in Texas are switching to recycling water. The article shared that oil companies are doing this due to the drought which has plagued areas of Texas since 2009 and oil is most abundant is areas of rocky soil where water is scarce.

I believe that by using water recycling procedures it will, in the long run, cost the oil companies less money because they wouldn’t have to pay for local water or a way to dispose of the water contaminated by oil and other minerals absorbed during the fracking process.

I also believe it will be easier on the environment because the contaminated water would not be buried and forgotten about. There are also some oil regions where there are legal matters about the disposal of this water and recycling the water will eliminate some of the legal matters.

A solution to the recycling of water is that oil companies could purchase the required equipment and hire personnel to operate it and recycle the water at a much cheaper rate than hiring a private company to do the recycling for them. Recycling is also a solution that could stop the overuse of water during times of drought.

It is very important for oil companies to begin to recycle the water used on oil rigs no matter its use and regardless of how much water they can pull from the environment for free.
