It was very sad for me to learn in Saturday's paper that En-Tire Logistics of Milton can proceed with a $50 million plant that will contaminate our beautiful valley. No amount of money generated by this business will be worth the air quality of our valley.
Rev. Leah Schade, whom I have never met, has tried to fight this battle. Some years ago, Rev. Schade and the OUE and many people banded together to keep another burner out north of Allenwood. We won that battle.
We need more people involved. People are not involved because they think they won't be affected. They will, as it will extend to a large area. There are other burner units in other states that have been built and the people should be looking into what has come to pass in those areas. It cannot be a good report.
The OUE has been a good organization that came to our aid before and we can win, but it will take a lot more commitment.
Rev. Schade do not give up and encourage a lot more people help you with this issue. I am praying for you and hope you succeed in keeping this business from developing. I question why the EPA would give their approval on this. Remember "people power" won before and they can this time also. We need our Faith and people to succeed.
