In the "mail call" section of the October VFW Magazine, there is a quote by Japanese Adm. Yamamato.
The quote: "It would be impossible to invade the United States. Behind every blade of grass would be a gun."
I was honorably discharged from the U.S. Marine Corps in 1955, and served in Korea with the 1st Bat. 7th Mariner, 1st Marine Div. in the war.
With the battle for presidency only four short weeks away, the veterans vote (24 percent of adult males) in a handful of hotly contested states could be the key to victory.
With our commander in chief and his many political supporters and the possibility of one or two Supreme Court justices being nominated by our next president, our Second Amendment is definitely in jeopardy.
I urge my fellow veterans, and all Americans, to remember Adm. Yamamoto's quote.
Vote your mind, but please vote.
