I am writing to the voters of Union County concerning the election for Prothonotary/Clerk of Courts in November. For the last 16 years I have had the opportunity to work with Linda Richards in my capacity as Past President and Legislative Chairman of the Pennsylvania State Association of Prothonotaries and Clerks of Courts. Linda has been an active participant in our association, attending business meetings and our continuing education sessions and has been involved in discussions with other Prothonotaries/Clerks of Courts on improving the operation of her office.
This has allowed her to keep abreast of the changes in rules of civil procedure, criminal procedure and laws relating to her office. Using her knowledge, Linda has made a number of changes to improve her office such as working more directly with the court administrator to enter AOPC reports through automation instead of manual entries. She has updated her civil system and has annual training and re-certification as active agents for the passport system. And Linda is in the process of converting her microfilm documents to a scanning system to make it easier for the public to access those documents in her office
Linda Richards has the knowledge and experience to do the job of Prothonotary/Clerk of Courts. The choice for the voters of Union County is clear. Linda Richards has earned your vote and another 4 years as Prothonotary/Clerk of Courts in Union County.
