Second-hand smoke

Daily Item

---- — I attended the Danville halloween parade with my daughter and granddaughter. It was enjoyable. We were situated adjacent to the Lutheran church on Market Street.

The only problem was there were smokers. One fellow smoked about every 15 minutes.

Cigarette second-hand smoke is a trigger for childhood asthma. Some authorities consider smoking around children is childhood abuse. Second-hand smoke is a leading cause of lung cancer in non-smokers.

Second hand smoke is a trigger for asthma in addition to the danger they do to themselves.
