What you 'feel'

(Continued)

Matthew Shephard might tell you that, ma'am, were he still alive today. He cannot, however, for the 21-year-old was tortured and killed near Laramie, Wy. in 1998, only because he was gay. His killers, as well as the despicable members of the Westboro Baptist Church who protested his funeral, also believed that homosexuals did not deserve the same rights as other American citizens.

Next time you wish to want to lecture us on what is "morally wrong" or in keeping with some founding principle, remember Matthew. If you do not approve of same-sex marriage, do not marry a woman. It's as simple as that.

Benjamin Hollenbach,

Mifflinburg
