NCAA sanctions

Am I the only one who finds the sanctions baffling? The administrators who failed to act and Sandusky are being punished under the laws of the land. Joe Pa has passed away and his legacy tarnished, although to me, he will always be the coach with the most wins ever and I can't forget all the good he has done for the university and the young men he coached.

Other recent sanctions like Ohio, Alabama and SMU, the people responsible were not imprisoned but felt the effects of the sanctions. The present Penn State administration, the faculty, students, football players, citizens of State College, shop keepers, fans and alumni are all innocent victims of this tragedy, yet they are the ones being punished by the NCAA sanctions. Why do they punish the victims? In Penn State, the responsible are being prosecuted and the innocent are being punished for simply being there.

I hope that Coach O'Brien is successful in keeping the team as is his main goal. Bill, you have a team capable of winning every game despite the NCAA. Show them what it really means to be Penn State.
