Passing the buck

I just read the article about police tips for people to notice drug activity in their neighborhood, and the ordinance that Sunbury passed a year ago.

Are these people for real? I find it hard to believe that no one from surrounding communities has screamed about this. This is a blatant attempt by the Sunbury council members and lawmakers to dump their problems on surrounding communities.

Are we still in the wild, wild west, where we tell criminals to get out of town?

I am appalled with the idea of these selfish people throwing us under the bus. So we sent you a message you will no longer live in our community and produce and sell drugs to our kids, but you can go live in Milton, Lewisburg, Mifflinburg, and other surrounding towns and produce and sell it to their kids and let them deal with it.

So what have you done Sunbury council members with taxpayers' money? You have wasted it and have done nothing while making yourselves look good, forcing drug dealers and drug producers to move to other communities.

Here's another one for you: You have managed to force the drug dealers and drug houses to propagate to other communities, hence expanding their sales area.

This is ridiculous and just plain stupid we need to work on solving the problem not sending it to someone else's town to deal with.

Frank Smith,

Mifflinburg
