Divided we fall

People are upset with a system whereby small groups like school boards, commissioners, and more, can obligate the citizens to debt without the citizens having any say in it.

Yes, they have their meetings and hearings but anything that is said by the citizens falls on deaf ears. Nothing is going to change unless, we as citizens, stand up and say “enough is enough” and form an action group to fight against unfair politics and taxation.

On May 2 I formed the Pennsylvania Taxpayer Action Group (PaTAG) and I’m asking you to join me to fight for what is right. You can access the web site www.patag.org to stay informed. The initial focus will be on an initiative to be placed on the ballot which will either eliminate property taxes all together or at least reduce the rate to 1 percent of the purchase price or fair market value established in 2008 and no increase can occur without a referendum and the increase cannot exceed the lesser of the consumer price index for the year the increase is under consideration or 2 percent.

I ask you to respond to this call to action by emailing me at cemoyer1@yahoo.com. Please do not sit back and do nothing. United we stand, divided we fall — no truer words were ever spoken

Clair Moyer,

Lewisburg
