I see where one of the "big" name bands will be playing on the river on Memorial Day weekend. Eleven million dollars to get Jesse out of the park?
Now Sunbury has it all between music on the river to the baseball complex on Race Street. Maybe the city should spend a little money on hiring staff and lifeguards so our playgrounds can be open on weekends, so working parents can take their children to enjoy what their tax dollars pay for.
Another great idea, why not put the community pool hours back to what they were for as long as I can remember, when the pool was a great place to go after a long hot day at work and on the weekends. The heat of the day does not shut off at 6 p.m. There is no reason the pool should not stay open till at least 8 p.m. For the pool to be closed on a holiday, Fourth of July, is a joke. People from Sunbury should not have to go to Splash Land to enjoy the summer with family and friends.
