---- — Turn left at Mayberry and you will find the sleepy town of Mazeppa.

Where you wave at a person going by in a car whether you know them or not it's the nice thing to do. Where getting your car repaired is still a social gathering over a bottle of soda. It's the place I will always call home with so many wonderful memories. But the most lasting one is of what the town did for us while my sister dealt with her brain tumor. Everything from food, errands run or just babysitting us siblings when needed.

The town still exhibits that kind of support and the Mazeppa Union Church, which is the oldest church in Union County with a continual membership, leads by example. The past two years the proceeds from the "world famous ham and egg supper" have gone to Camp Victory and so many lives will be touched by this generous donation.

Emerson once penned, "to know that even one life has breathed a little easier because you have lived, that is to have succeeded."

The Mazeppa Union Church is a success.
