---- — When my WAHGlish One teacher, Mr. Edwards, suggested our class write a letter to the editor the issue of abortion first came to mind. This is a huge and controversial topic, yet I do not see why. Abortion is the deliberate killing of a baby, no matter what stage of life, it is still a baby.
I am against abortion. The fact that we allow abortion in our world shows how much life is taken for granted. A baby's life used to be precious, but now they do not mean as much.
I am glad to be alive. I could never make a choice to kill a human, much less a life that never got to really live.
The world is grieving for the Connecticut victims, yet there is much less grief over the thousands of humans that never got to live to the age of those children. I am not trying to make less of those poor people, just stating something I find astonishing.
How can anyone let a mother choose life or death for a life not her own? What if that child was going to be the one to cure cancer, be a President as remembered as President Lincoln or donate millions to help world hunger?
If you are not ready to have a child, do not put yourself in the position where you can have a child. I am ashamed to live in a world with abortion. If you cannot care for your child, put it up for adoption and know they are thankful to be alive.
I value life and am pro-baby's choice, not pro-women's choice.
