---- — Most Christians and some non-Christians are familiar with the scripture reading found in Genesis 12:3, where God declared that he would bless those who bless Israel and curse those who curse Israel. It was meant for all nations for all time.
In 1948, history records that President Harry Truman gave notice to the world that the United States recognized Israel as a sovereign Jewish nation. For the next three decades the United States was No. 1 in military might, scholastic academics, financial wealth and industry leader.
We were one nation under God and a strong ally of Israel. God bestowed his blessing on the United States. All nations in the world looked up to the United States and gave us their respect.
Since the mid-80s and thereafter, President Bush (41), Clinton, Bush (43) and Obama have pressured Israel to shrink and divide their land for peace. Even President Obama pledged to return Israel to pre-1967 borders.
In God's economy, there is Israel and then there are other nations. Bill Koenig, author of "Eye to Eye, Facing the Consequences of Dividing Israel" points out that 9 of the 10 costliest insurance events in the United States history followed dramatic calls by U.S. officials for Israel to make land concessions in bids for peace with its neighbors.
Earthquakes, hurricanes, tornadoes even terrorist attacks have hit America often within 24 hours of calls by U.S. officials for Israel to withdraw from Jewish land. As most of the world watches, America is no longer number one in scholastic academics, financial wealth, or an industry leader and will soon no longer be a military might. Our option to survive as a nation is quite obvious.
