I was walking my pitbull down North 4th Street on my way to CVS. During my adventure Lucy broke away from her leash and ran out into traffic and was hit by a car.
I was an emotional wreck because my baby looked like she was in so much pain. During this time a Sunbury Police officer arrived and found me helplessly holding my baby who was struggling to breath. Officer Corey Zerbe began to breath for her and she started to gasp and breath on her own. Luckily I took Lucy to the vet and she was seen and found to be uninjured just bruised.
I am so thankful for Officer Corey Zerbe and I think he should get a promotion to at least a chief or something. He saved my dog’s life and without him I would not have my dog anymore. He should get a award or something.
