Where will the money come from?

For The Daily Item

— I am writing this to thank Robert Thomas of Milton on his feelings about Lewisburg wanting a $39 million school. I feel like he does.

What right do seven people think they have to decide what we need? Where do they think the tax money will come from to pay for this building?

Sure, the state comes in for a few thousand, but how does the rest get paid? If the taxes go up every year and people don’t have the money, homes go up for sheriff sale.

Seven people have no right to dictate what they want when there is no money to pay for something that Lewisburg does not need. Put it to a vote and act like human beings and realize others don’t have their pensions paid when they retire.

I feel computer and cell phone calculators are not necessary in school starting in kindergarten. Put the tablet and books back in classrooms and let them learn to use their brains. I know people will not like what I’m writing but I have a right to express my opinion. I paid taxes for our children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren so I feel I have done my share.
