Evening of Giving raises nearly $10,000

Event benefits Evangelical Hospice

LEWISBURG — The 7th annual Evening of Giving, held Nov. 21 at the Susquehanna Valley Mall, raised nearly $10,000 for Evangelical Hospice.

Nearly 1,000 people attended the night of special holiday savings, food and wine tastings and other festivities.

Weis Markets was the event presenter. The Evening of Giving was also supported by Farm and Home Energy and Fike Brothers Carpet One.

More than 100 door prizes were awarded, including a $500 Mall gift card to Cortney Ortmeyer. Leslie Temple won this year's special prize, a Caribbean cruise courtesy of Miller Travel.
