The Grand Panama Resort, overlooking the Gulf of Mexico in Panama City, Fla. was the setting for the double ring ceremony joining Cassie Adrianna Newby and Bryan Christopher Buck in marriage. The Rev. Lynn Kandler officiated at the 4 p.m. service on Dec. 11, 2009.

The Inn at New Berlin was the setting for an intimate family wedding joining Hind Tazi, of San Francisco, and Joseph Bernath, of Washington, D.C. in marriage. Judge Thomas A. James conducted the ceremony on Dec. 20, 2009. A larger celebration will follow in June at Hind’s family home in Tangier, Morocco.

A surprise celebration hosted by their children on Jan. 9 at St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church, Milton honored the 50th wedding anniversary of Lawrence and Bonnie (Stevenson) Lloyd. The children also presented them with a cruise to Bermuda.

James D. and Marion J. (Herrold) Tompkins, of Salem Manor Court, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Dec. 26, 2009, at a surprise dinner at Front Street Station, Northumberland, hosted by their daughters and son-in-law, Sabrina and Martin Sickle, of Selinsgrove and Melisa Thompson of Virginia. They were married Dec. 26, 1959, at Zion Lutheran Church, Kratzerville by the Rev. Richard Geib.

Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Erdley
Sharon and Ernest Erdley were honored on their 50th wedding anniversary with a surprise party given by their children and grandchildren. Forty guests attended the festivities at the Lewisburg Armory. The couple were married in West Milton on Dec. 12, 1959, by the Rev. Ernest Bottiger.
