SELINSGROVE -- Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Kontura, of Selinsgrove, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary recently. They renewed their vows at St. Pius X, with the Rev. Ted Keating officiating. A dinner followed at The Inn at New Berlin, with about 25 family and friends in attendance.

The couple were married June 7, 1958, at Immaculate Conception in Trenton, N.J., by the Rev. Ignateus Slatlery.

Mrs. Kontura, the former Jeanne Santin, is the daughter of the late Ceasare and Ida Santin.

Mr. Kontura is the son of the late Joseph and Ann Kontura, of Trenton.

The couple are planning a trip to Atlantic City, where they originally went on their honeymoon.
