CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — Michelle McGraw and Seth Bordner were united in marriage on Saturday, April 26, 2008, at Pine Lake Pavilion, in Mebane. Presiding was the Rev. Russ Boyd, of University Christian Church in Fort Worth, Texas, a family friend.
The bride is the daughter of Michael McGraw, of Salisbury, and granddaughter of Dr. Carl and the late Nora McGraw, of Radford, Va. The bridegroom is the son of De (Mielke) Bordner, of New Columbia, Pa., and Steve Bordner, of Millersburg, Pa. He is the grandson of Bernice and Raymond Bordner, of Dornsife, Pa., and Naomi and the late Francis “Jim” Mielke, of Trevorton, Pa.
Kelly Bordner, sister of the bridegroom, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Laura Farmer, of Roanoke, Va.; Melissa Peng, of Chapel Hill; Alison Singer, of Boone; and Jessica Southard, of Durham.
Serving as best man was Chris Baker, of Northumberland, Pa. Groomsmen were Ken Brown, of San Luis Obispo, Calif.; Eric Hart, of New York City; Terry Hart, of Chicago; and Jonathan McGraw, of Roanoke, Va., cousin of the bride.
The bride, originally from Radford, Va., is a 2002 graduate of Radford University. She is the artistic coordinator for the Carolina Performing Arts program at the University of North Carolina.
The bridegroom, originally from Sunbury, Pa., is an alumnus of Shikellamy High School and Bloomsburg University and holds master’s degrees from Virginia Tech and the University of California at Irvine. He is a research assistant for the Parr Center for Ethics and a doctoral student in philosophy at University of North Carolina.
The couple are living in Chapel Hill.
