BRISTOL — United Methodist Church of Bristol was the setting for the ceremony uniting Swatara Lyn Felix and Andrew Godwin in marriage. The Rev. Bonniekaren Mullen-Holtz performed the service at 1:30 p.m. May 17.

The bride is the daughter of Jack and Carol Felix, of Selinsgrove, and the granddaughter of the late Walter and Mildred Felix and the late Dr. George and Mary Wentzel. The bridegroom is the son of Florence Godwin, of Cinnaminson, N.J., and the late Elmer G. Godwin.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white satin gown with a split A-line back in beaded clovergreen. The trim on the bottice and hem were also beaded in clovergreen.

Serving as maids of honor were Chariss Gilliom, of Vienna, Va., and Jennifer Naugle, of Hawley. Tabitha Godwin, of Cinnaminson, N.J., niece of the bridegroom, was the bridesmaid, and the flower girl was Katrina Godwin, of Cinnaminson, N.J., niece of the bridegroom.

Best man was Steven Malave, of Lindenwold, N.J. Groomsmen were Richard Dorr, of Pennsauken, N.J., and Brian Welsh, of Harrisburg, brother of the bride. Ushers were Furman Godwin, of Riverside, N.J., brother of the bridegroom, and Gary Wentzel, of Shamokin Dam, uncle of the bride. The ring bearer was Cassidy Malave, of Lindenwold, N.J.

The guestbook attendant was Debbie Ausberry, of Harrisburg; champagne attendant was Krystal Godwin, of Pennsauken, N.J., niece of the bridegroom; and acolytes were Tiffany and Sophie Jones, of Bristol. The scripture reader was Ricki Stringfellow, of Selinsgrove, and an acoustic duet was performed by Bob Konyes and Lou Pirri, both of Bristol.

A reception was held at King’s II in Bristol. After a wedding trip in Ocean City, N.J., the couple are living in Bristol.

The bride is a 1993 graduate of Shikellamy High School; a 1997 graduate of East Stroudsburg University; and a 2000 graduate of Pennsylvania College of Optometry. She received a master’s degree in orientation and mobility and is employed by the Pennsylvania Bureau of Blindness and Visual Service, Philadelphia.

The bridegroom is a 1990 graduate of Burlington County Vocational Technical School and received a degree in information technology from New Jersey Institute of Technology. He is owner of GATE Consultants of Bristol.
