WASHINGTON, D.C. — Mr. and Mrs. Richard Heuwinkel, of Washington, D.C., announce the engagement of their daughter, Kristine R. Heuwinkel, to Aaron D. Hassinger, son of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Hassinger, of Middleburg, Pa.

The bride-to-be is a 1999 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School, D.C.; a 2003 graduate of the University of Michigan; and a 2008 graduate of Catholic University’s Columbus School of Law. She is an attorney for the United States General Accountability Office, Washington, D.C.

Her fiancé is a 1999 graduate of Middleburg High School; a 2003 graduate of Bucknell University; and a 2006 graduate of Virginia Tech, earning a master’s degree in civil engineering management. He is a civil engineer and project manager for the United States General Services Administration, Washington, D.C.

A fall 2009 wedding is being planned in Washington, D.C.
