LEWISBURG — Rooke Chapel, on the campus of Bucknell University, was the setting for the ceremony uniting Kristy Ann Kembel and Tyler Emerson Derk in marriage. Pastor John Ritchey performed the service at 1:30 p.m. Nov. 1.
The bride is the daughter of Keith and Patricia Kembel, of Herndon. The bridegroom is the son of Terrie Kessler, of Sunbury and Cindy Derk, of Leesport.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an ivory strapless trumpet style gown.
The bride chose Jenna Wynn, of Dalmatia, to be her maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kim Secrest, of Camp Hill and Kendra Kembel, of Lewisberry, sisters of the bride. Junior bridesmaids were Karrah Derk, of Shamokin, and Liz Polce, of Leesport, sisters of the bridegroom. Flower girl was Lily Potvin, of Camp Hill, the bride’s niece.
The bridegroom chose Ashley Taylor, of Portland, Ore., to serve as best woman. Groomsmen were Bryan Gontek, of Philadelphia, and Will Sanquilly, of Hawley. Ring bearer was Bennett Secrest, the bride’s nephew.
Guestbook attendant was Kaitlyn Kembel, of Herndon, niece of the bride. Kerry Kembel, brother of the bride, was a reader and usher. Also serving as ushers were Justin Secrest, the bride’s brother-in-law, and Todd Elliott, future brother-in-law of the bride.
A reception was held at the Lewisburg Hotel. Following a honeymoon to Key West, the couple lives in Bensalem.
The bride is a 2002 graduate of Line Mountain High School and 2006 graduate of Kutztown University with a BFA degree in communication design. She is employed as a senior graphic designer.
The bridegroom is a 2002 graduate of Shikellamy High School and a 2006 graduate of Kutztown University with a BFA degree in fine art. He is employed in sales.
