LEWISBURG — Sacred Heart Catholic Church was the setting for the ceremony uniting Sarah Elizabeth Friery and Stephen Edward Miller in marriage. The Rev. William Richardson performed the service at 1:30 p.m. Oct. 4.
The bride is the daughter of James and Carole Friery, of Lewisburg. The bridegroom is the son of Edward and Carol Miller, of New Milford, N.J.
The bride chose her sister, Heidi Friery, to be her maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Emily Moore, of Richmond, Va.; Kristine Sterbenz, of Norfolk, Va. and Kelly McHale, of Falls Church, Va.
Stephen Michaels, of New York City, was best man. Groomsmen were Karim Sadik, of Charlottesville, Va.; David Luse, of Arlington, Va. and Shaan Bhojwani, of San Diego, Calif.
The bride is a 1997 graduate of Lewisburg High School and a 2001 graduate of Mount Aloysius College. She is employed as an occupational therapist at the University of Virginia Medical Center.
The bridegroom is a 1996 graduate of Bergen Catholic High School, Oradell, N.J., a 2000 graduate of Franklin and Marshall College, and a 2004 graduate of George Washington University School of Medicine. He is employed as the chief resident in general surgery at the University of Virginia Medical Center.
Following a honeymoon in Mexico, the couple are living in Charlottesville, Va.
