Published June 20, 2009 09:51 am - Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Reigel, Dandridge, Tenn., and formerly of Irish Valley, Muncy and Ephrata, were honored at a 50th wedding anniversary party given by their children on May 22 at the Watson Inn.

WATSONTOWN — Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Reigel, Dandridge, Tenn., and formerly of Irish Valley, Muncy and Ephrata, were honored at a 50th wedding anniversary party given by their children on May 22 at the Watson Inn. Ninety-seven guests, including family and friends from the local area, as well as from Colorado, Maine, Massachusetts, New York and Tennessee, were in attendance.
The couple were married May 9, 1959, in Irish Valley United Methodist Church by the Rev. A.J. Walters.
Mrs. Reigel is the former E. Louise Ensinger, of Irish Valley, the daughter of the late Walter and Elma Ensinger. She is a homemaker.
Mr. Reigel, also of Irish Valley, is the son of the late Earl and Edna Reigel. He was employed by Yellow Freight Systems, Knoxville, Tenn., working for a time in Ephrata, before moving to Tennessee. He is now retired.
The couple are the parents of one daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Wally Keefer, of Kingsport, Tenn., and four sons and daughters-in-law, Randy and Solange, of Parker, Colo.; Ken and Ellen, of Ephrata; Karl and Valencia, of Wyomissing, and Kevin and Ieshia, of Clarksville, Tenn. They also have 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
