Paul Beach officiating. Following was a dinner for 150 guests, hosted by their children at Fremont Fire Hall in Mount Pleasant Mills.

MOUNT PLEASANT MILLS -- Mr. and Mrs. Michael Portzline, of Mount Pleasant Mills, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at 3 p.m. June 29, with a renewal of their wedding vows, at Richfield Mennonite Church, with the Rev. Paul Beach officiating. Following was a dinner for 150 guests, hosted by their children at Fremont Fire Hall in Mount Pleasant Mills.
The couple were married June 28, 1958, by the Rev. Leppert, at St. John's United Methodist Church, Chapman Township, Port Trevorton.
Mrs. Portzline, the former Verna Benner, is the daughter of the late Ray and Hattie (Wagner) Benner. She worked 33 years in Freeburg and Richfield at the dress and shirt factories, and retired from Weis Markets, Selinsgrove, after four years of employment.
Mr. Portzline is the son of the late Frank and Phoebe (Kemere) Portzline. He retired after 33 years of employment at Taylor-Wharton division of Harrisburg Steel Corporation (HARSCO).
The couple have two daughters, Debra and her husband Wayne Kerstetter, of Mount Pleasant Mills, and Judy and her husband Donald Bickhart, of Virginia; three sons, Steve and his wife Bev, of Mount Pleasant Mills, Frank and his wife Melissa, of Mount Pleasant Mills, and Tim Portzline, of Mount Pleasant Mills; 11 grandchildren, Ben, Justin, Payton, Jeremie, Delilah, Bethany, Laura, Nathan, Jeff, Jessica and Amanda; and four great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Nevaeh, Haillie, and Chloie.
