NORTHUMBERLAND — Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Strouse Sr., of Point Township, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with their family at the Front Street Station on June 1.
They were married June 8, 1963 in St. John’s Lutheran Church, Northumberland and were 1963 graduates of Northumerland High School.
Mrs. Strouse is the former Glenda Good, a daughter of Betty Good and the late Glenn Good. Her husband is the son of Ruth Strouse and the late Fred Strouse.
Mr. and Mrs. Strouse have farmed in Point Township with two generations of family members since their marriage.
They are the parents of Tom Jr. and wife, Cheryl, of Point Township, and Thonda Swank and Amanda Ramsey, both of Northumberland. They have six grandchildren, Sierra and Logan Strouse, Tomisha and Trinity Swank, and Laurel and Jackson Ramsey.
To celebrate their anniversary, they took a paddleboat cruise on the Illinois River in September, a gift from their children.
