NORTHUMBERLAND —Jeanette and William Latsha, of Northumberland and formerly of Shamokin, celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary recently with a celebration at the Country Cupboard, Lewisburg.
They were married in Shamokin on Jan. 3, 1949, by the Rev. Donald Martin. Their attendants were Mary and William Heitzman.
Mrs. Latsha is the daughter of the late Julia and George Darstein. Mr. Latsha is the son of the late Jenny and George Latsha.
They are the parents of five children, Mary and Alan Owens, of Selinsgrove, Julie Costik, of Harrisburg, William and Kim Latsha, of Shamokin, Pamela and David Hood, of Thurmont, Md., and Beth Latsha, of Apex, N.C. There are also 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and two step-grandsons, Jere and Judi Engle, of Galloway, N.J., and their children Jeremiah and Noah; Julie and Mark Kosoglow, of Tyrone, and their children, Maggel, Mia, Samuel and Emmanuel; Sean and Megan Costik, of New South Wales, Pa., and their sons, Ryan and Jake; Mark Costik, of Middletown, Jill Costik, of Philadelphia, Melissa and Ed Komara, of Shamokin, and their children, Sadie and Zach; Joshua and Breanna Latsha, of Shamokin, and their son Cole; Joseph Rakoski, of Baltimore, Md.; Michael Rakoski, of San Diego, Calif., Kevin Rakoski, of Camp Hill, Alex Duhan, of Thurmont, Md., and Matthew Fegley and Jake Fegley, of Apex, N.C.; Gregory Owens, and Jonathan Owens.
