WATSONTOWN — Mr. and Mrs. James R. Stahlnecker, of Watsontown, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Sept. 1. A dinner party, hosted by their children, was held at The Lighthouse, St. John’s United Methodist Church, Dewart.
They were married by the Rev. C.R. Ness and Rev. Kenneth I. Bower at First Evangelical United Brethren Church, now St. Andrews UMC, in Milton.
Mrs. Stahlnecker, the former June Stahl, is the daughter of the late Royal E. and Catherine M. Stahl. She is retired from B&W Disposal.
Her husband is the son of the late Gilbert and Mary Stahlnecker. He is retired from Sovereign Bank and continues with his travel business.
The couple enjoys community and church activities.
They are the parents of three children, Kevin and his wife Elizabeth, of Cogan Station, Sue Ellen Gaab and her husband Richard, of Montoursville, and Paul and his wife Gina, of Etters. There are also six grandchildren, Alicia Miller, Austen Gaab, Matthew Stahlnecker, James Stahlnecker, Rose Marie Stahlnecker, and Maxwell Stahlnecker.
