Shafer — Sauers MIFFLINBURG — Dr. and Mrs. Kevin Shafer, of Mifflinburg, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Kara Suzanne, to Jeremy Michael Sauers, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Roger Sauers, also of Mifflinburg.
The bride-to-be is a 2002 graduate of Mifflinburg Area High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Penn State University in 2006. She is a registered nurse in obstetrics at Evangelical Community Hospital. Her fiance is a 2001 graduate of the same high school. He received a bachelor’s degree in mass communications from King’s College in 2005, and a bachelor’s degree in health and physical education from Lock Haven University in 2008. He is employed as an elementary school health teacher by the Line Mountain School District. A wedding is planned for May 15, 2010.
