SHAMOKIN — Wayne and Mary Erdman, of Shamokin, announce the engagement of their daughter, Nicole Marie Erdman, of Shamokin to Tad Alan Kalcich, of Sunbury.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Ted and Arlene Erdman, of Shamokin, and the late Joseph and Reberta Novicenskie. She is a 2008 graduate of Line Mountain High School and a 2012 graduate of Bloomsburg University with dual bachelor degrees in elementary education and special education. She is employed by Shamokin Area School District as a special education teacher at NHS Northwestern Academy, Coal Township. She is also a substitute teacher for NHS Northwestern Academy, a seasonal worker for Patterson FASCINATION at Knoebels Grove Amusement Resort, Elysburg, and will start working at a day camp for autistic children in Pottsville this summer.
Her fiance is the son of Dawn Kalcich, and Craig Kalcich and Abby Smith, all of Sunbury. He is the grandson of Neil Kalcich, of Northumberland, Sharon and Ron Woodruff, of Sunbury, and the late James and Esther Herb. He is a 2008 graduate of Shikellamy High School and will graduate on May 18 from Bloomsburg University with dual bachelor degrees in elementary education and special education. He is employed by Davis Beverage, and Bimbo Bakery USA.
