HERSHEY — Laurie Rhoads and Patrick Mulcahy, together with their families, announce their engagement and upcoming marriage. The two met through mutual friends in March 2011 at the Frozen Dead Guy Days festival in Nederland, Colo., and got engaged in December 2013.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Neal and Linda Rhoads, of Hershey, and formerly of Selinsgrove. She holds a bachelor of arts in international studies and Spanish from the University of Richmond, Virginia and an master of education in elementary education from Regis University in Denver, Colo. She is working toward an added endorsement in early childhood special education and works with children ages birth-8.
Her fiance is the son of Robert and Margaret Mulcahy, of Rochester, N.Y. He holds a bachelor of science in geoscience from Buffalo State College and an master of science in science education from D’Youville College. He is an environmental geologist.
The couple resides in Boulder, Colo., and will have a farm wedding on July 12, 2014, in the Boulder area.
